AutoPerformance Motorsport kicks off 2018 racing campaign
AutoPerformance Motorsport team to focus on local endurance racing events

AutoPerformance Motorsport, a domestic racing team headed by Francis Aguila and Albert Chung, has just begun their campaign for the 2018 season in various racing events in the country.
Over the past couple of years, AutoPerformance Motorsport has been one of the most successful teams in local endurance racing with three consecutive podiums in the Philippine Endurance Challenge - including a class win and overall championship in the 2017 4 Oras ng Pilipinas.
"It is a dream come true for me, personally," says Aguila. "Not just to be able to continue to live out my passion for racing, but to do it in the company of great teammates, an awesome crew, top-notch sponsors and unending support from family and friends - both in and out of the auto industry - is something I am immensely thankful for."
At their team launch at the booth of main sponsor Victor Hardware at the Trans Sport Show 2018, AutoPerformance Motorsport unveiled their new livery for their now-signature BMW M3; a red, white and gray pattern against a matte black base color. The car will be feature the BMW M-tuned 3.0L straight-six engine, Brembo brakes, Bilstein suspension and Rota wheels.
The team retains its 2017 driver lineup consisting of pro drivers George Apacible, Stefan Ramirez, and amateurs Enrique Hormillo, Sung Joon "SJ" Park, and Aguila, with the addition of Miguel Dizon for the 2018 season. The team will be managed by EZ Ligaya and race engineer Jun Magno.
AutoPerformance Motorsport will be competing at two endurance race events this year: the 4 Oras ng Pilipinas and 12 Hour Kalayaan Cup on June 12, as well as the 8 Oras ng Pilipinas in December. Both of these events will be at the Clark International Speedway.
The team will compete in select legs of Touge Battle, the Philippine Autocross Championship Series, DTM Ph, and other events. Off-track activites include various car shows and events, including the aforementioned display at the Trans Sport Show, and the FIA Sport Conference.
