Force India to improve Formula 1 standings with VJM10
Force India is looking to get more podium wins and finish stronger at this year's Formula 1 season with their latest racecar.
Dubbed the VJM10, Force India has taken the covers off their 2017 challenger following the reveal of rival teams. Last year, Force India finished 4th in the World Constructors' Championship and prior to that they finished 5th.
According to driver Sergio Perez, they can carry the momentum they had to match up to the big teams. The main reason for his confidence in their capability to improve from last year is thanks to the team's level of stability, which for him is unlike any other.
Much like other teams, the VJM10 has a revised body work due to the major change in regulations, such as the sharkfin engine cover, wider rear wheels and a thumb-tip nose. The car however remains faithful to that of their previous two-tone livery, still sporting the silver, black and orange colors.
Powering the VJM10 is a Mercedes-sourced 1.6-liter turbo V6 engine. Knowing how Mercedes was able to dominate last season, the engine is said to help improve their standing from fourth place.
With the new regulations changes and a new driver Estenban Ocon, replacing Nico Hulkenberg, expect to see whether Force India can indeed improve on their standing as they say.
