Formula E pulls plug on 2016 Moscow ePrix
Abrupt road closures pulls the plug on Round 9 of 2016 Formula E

The Russian leg of this year's Formula E season will not push through after the racing body announced that they have cancelled the race scheduled on June 4.
Originally to be round 9, Formula E decided to not go through with the 2016 Moscow ePrix due to unforeseen circumstances involving road closures.
“While it is unfortunate news not to race in Moscow on June 4, we looked at a number of alternative options as a replacement but were not able to find a viable solution on that specific date,” said Alejandro Agad, Formula E CEO.
With the setback, Formula E opted to return to Monaco as a replacement for Moscow but they failed to organize a change in venue on such a short notice.

“We will now focus on the three remaining races in Berlin and the double-header in London, which I’m sure will deliver a thrilling conclusion in the battle for the championship,” said Agad.
The last three races will take place on the following dates:
Round 8: Berlin ePrix – May 21
Round 9: London ePrix – July 2
Round 10: London ePrix – July 3
