Mototesto concludes Petron Philippine Overland Expedition 2022

Mototesto has successfully concluded the 2022 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition. With over 50 nature-loving campers and more than 80 4x4 vehicles that took part in the overlanding event, it has perfectly resonated the essence of competition, camaraderie, and passion for anything and everything 4x4.

The natural jungle of General Nakar is a raw and harsh terrain as it is. With the recent devastation of Typhoon Karding coupled with heavy rains during the event weekend, the trail was even more challenging for competitors and posed a test of endurance and camaraderie for each team.
After a series of grueling timed stages and team tasks, Team Ironman Philippines emerged victorious amongst the 25 competing groups who conquered the 285-kilometer-long journey that started in San Fernando, Pampanga, and ended in General Nakar, Quezon.

Team Ironman members Jay Bryant Villaroman, Bomvet Santos, Michael Mendoza, Car Michael Santos, Jherico Lara, and Jayvie Dumlao took home the grand prize worth PHP 500,000. Meanwhile, Team La Union 1 and Team Giba 1 were the runners-up in the competition, and received PHP 200,000 and PHP 100,000, respectively.

The finish line in General Nakar, Quezon was also set as the campsite for the overland campers, which also included a four-hour trail through various terrain and several river crossings. At the end of the event, all PHOX participants were rewarded with exclusive merchandise from sponsors Petron, Motolite, CST Tires, and Mototesto.
Organizers are already looking forward to the 2023 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition, which promises to be a bigger and better event for 4x4 enthusiasts.
