HRC announces return of Honda Racing e-Motorsports for 2025
HRC to expand reach of Honda Racing eMotorsports for its third season

Since it began in 2023, Honda’s official e-motorsports event called Honda Racing eMS has attracted more than 200,000 participants spanning over 70 countries.
And now, HRC is proud to announce the return of the Honda Racing eMotorsports 2025 Honda Racing eMS 2025, which will once again use the Gran Turismo 7 and the PS4/PS5 platform.
For its third season, the competition evolves with a new, unified online qualifying format, bringing together participants of all ages into a single class. For 2025, the Grand Final is no longer limited to Japan, with the finale held online, with separate showdowns for each of the three global regions—Europe/Middle East/Africa, the Americas, and Asia-Oceania—ultimately crowning a champion in each.

The global Online Qualifier will kick off on Friday, August 29, and run through Sunday, September 28. Staged as a Time Trial, the competition is open to participants aged seven and older worldwide (six and up in Japan). Drivers will take the wheel of a specially liveried Honda NSX Concept-GT ’16, pushing it to the limit on Autodrome Lago Maggiore—a 5.8-kilometer original circuit renowned for its distinctive corners and sweeping elevation changes.
All entrants who record a time in the rankings will receive a Honda NSX Concept-GT ’16 (Special Livery) as a reward, available for use within Gran Turismo 7.
On the other hand, the Grand Final will take place online on December 6 and 7, open to competitors aged 18 and above. From the global field, the top ten players in each region’s online rankings—thirty in all—will earn their place on the starting grid, provided they meet the age requirement.
But unlike Toyota’s GT Cup, rewards are digital and specific to the Gran Turismo 7 environment for Honda Racing eMS, which means no physical awards such as trophies and monetary prizes are given.
Presented by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), the organization at the forefront of Honda’s motorsports activities, Honda Racing eMS has Its mission to share the thrill of racing with a wider audience, opening new doors for players to experience the joy of mobility in a dynamic, virtual arena.
