Hyundai i20 WRC starts testing program
Initial tests covers 550 kilometers over three days.

After a few months of intensive preparation at its Alzenau headquarters, Hyundai Motorsport has taken its i20 WRC out of the workshop and onto the track to start its testing program in preparation for the FIA World Rally Championship in 2014.
Initial tests on the private proving ground were conducted mid-May and were happy that the roll-out didn’t encounter any particular issues. The tests were conducted to collect feedback and further develop the i20s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. Currently, a total of 550 kilometers were covered over the three days of testing.
The program will continue for the rest of the year and will involve further assessment and development of the i20 WRC in all of the terrains and conditions expected in World Rally Championship.
