Hyundai N, Toyota GR join forces to host racing festival
Hyundai N x Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival scheduled for October 27, 2024 at Everland Speedway

Hyundai and Toyota coming together to celebrate motorsports is something we didn’t have on our automotive bingo cards, but it is happening.
On October 27, 2024, at Everland Speedway in Yong-in, South Korea, Hyundai and Toyota will be co-hosts of the Hyundai N x Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival. The event will showcase high-performance vehicles of both brands and offer a unique experience in the world of motorsport.

There will be demo drives from each company’s WRC cars such as the Hyundai i20 N Rally Hybrid and the GR Yaris Rally1, along with test rides to engage motorsport fans.

Euisun Chung, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair, will attend the special event and will be joined by Akio Toyoda, Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, who often engages in motorsport activities under the pseudonym “Morizo”.

Previously, reports surfaced that Chung and Toyoda were meeting by the end of October to explore their options with regard to hydrogen power. With the two brands developing future-oriented prototypes such as the hydrogen-powered N Vision 74 and the GR Corolla Super Taikyu project, the event will also be a platform for both brands to showcase their plans for carbon-neutral motorsports.
