Isuzu D-Max bags three titles in 2022 Philippine Rallycross Series
Isuzu D-Max is the overall champion for pickup, utility vehicle and all-wheel-drive class

The award-winning Isuzu D-Max is known as one of the most durable pickups in the market, and now it's also proven its worth as a championship-winning rally truck in the 2022 Philippine Rallycross Series (PHRX).
PHRX is a timed racing competition held on a dirt track that started way back in 2015. Many professional car racers and motorsport enthusiasts participate in the competition’s different categories and various classes, and among its many supporters is Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC).

This season of PHRX saw 9 rounds of technical dirt driving held at different tracks within Cavite and Pampanga. After the 9th round, Team Isuzu D-Max was able to secure a 1-2 finish on three classes with Louie Camacho clinching the overall title for pickup, utility vehicle, and all-wheel-drive classes, while Mon Dimapilis came in 1st runner up in all three classes as well.
“We are very proud of the result of this year’s Philippine Rallycross Series. The Isuzu D-Max has proven once again its versatility and durability, this time on the dirt track. And this is the kind of lifestyle we want to promote with this vehicle, our customers can enjoy the D-MAX both for work and play on the weekends,” said Robert Carlos, IPC Asst. Division Head for Sales.

Team Isuzu D-Max entered this year's PHRX with two production-spec D-Max 3.0 LS-E 4x4 AT trucks driven by Mon Dimapilis and Louie Camacho. Apart from the racing seats and harness, the only modification done to the D-Max rally vehicles was limited to suspension and tires, while the rest were kept in factory condition.
Its powerful 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power Diesel Engine, paired with the driver’s rally expertise emerged as an unbeatable formula to D-Max’s success over the other notably modified vehicles that competed in PHRX.
With another feather on its cap, the Isuzu D-Max shows strength in different aspects, no doubt why it is still one of the most popular pickups in the market today.
