Mercedes AMG tests new F1 W06 Hybrid on Silverstone
The racing team will hold the car's track debut on February 1, 2015 in Jerez, Spain
Mercedes AMG recently ran the first laps with their 2015 F1 W06 Hybrid car during a promotional event that was held at the Silverstone race track.
The F1 car is powered by the company's PU106B Hybrid Power Unit and was able to lap around Silverstone 18 times (47.2 km). It was first driven by last year's 2nd place winner Nico Rosberg and was then followed by 2014's World Driver's Champion Lewis Hamilton. Further testing and filming had to be halted due to a blizzard.

The racing team will prepare the F1 W06 Hybrid for its public track debut which will take place in Jerez, Spain on February 1, 2015.
