Motul to support McLaren Endurance Racing in FIA WEC 2027
Motul will provide advanced lubricants to McLaren United Autosports WEC Hypercar Team

McLaren Endurance Racing, together with McLaren United Autosports WEC Hypercar Team, is proud to announce they will be joining the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with help from Motul.
That's right, Motul will be the official lubricants partner of McLaren Endurance Racing, expanding on its partnership with McLaren's Formula 1 team, which was announced last year.

Thanks to its long heritage in endurance racing, Motul will support the McLaren United Autosports WEC Hypercar Team with advanced lubricants for the engine, transmission, and differential. Moreover, Motul will provide technical collaboration to McLaren Endurance Racing as the team prepares for its debut in next year's FIA WEC.
“Today marks an important milestone for McLaren Endurance Racing as we look ahead and continue to build on the great preparations and support for the McLaren United AS Team’s Hypercar debut in 2027. Welcoming Motul to this exciting project strengthens our team for the challenge ahead. Motul brings invaluable expertise across performance, technology, and innovation. In a sport where every aspect matters, we’re proud to have Motul alongside us as we continue building momentum towards our return to endurance racing,” said James Barclay, Team Principal, McLaren Endurance Racing.

Motul has been a long-standing partner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans since the 1950s and has been an integral part of the history of the world's most iconic endurance race, with support from many teams. This commitment was further strengthened in 2016, when Motul was appointed official lubricants partner of the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, reaffirming its central role in endurance racing at the highest level.
Built on decades of racing experience, Motul’s expertise lies in crafting tailor-made fluid solutions designed to deliver reliability and performance over time in the most demanding conditions.
Motul’s endurance heritage also extends beyond the circuit, with a strong presence in other iconic long-distance challenges such as the Dakar Rally. This endurance-proven know-how now directly supports McLaren Endurance Racing, as Motul applies its technical heritage and R&D capabilities to co-create bespoke lubricants for the Hypercar program.
