Nico Rosberg extends contract with Mercedes-AMG Petronas
The 2017 and 2018 seasons of Formula 1 will see Rosberg drive for Mercedes-AMG Petronas still

Nico Rosberg will still be lending his talents to Mercedes-AMG Petronas after the racing team confirmed that the 31-year old German will continue driving for them in the following years.
In a statement, the racing team announced that they are glad that Rosberg decided to stay with Mercedes-AMG Petronas for the next two seasons.
“We are delighted to announce that the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team has signed a two-year contract extension with Nico Rosberg for the 2017 and 2018 Formula One seasons”
With it, both Rosberg and reigning champion Lewis Hamilton will continue to see action in Formula 1 until 2018.
During the 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix, Rosberg had a poor start, resulting in Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo overtaking him early in Turn 1. Rosberg was able to bounce back however in Turn 2, ultimately securing second place, just behind Hamilton.
Now currently leading in the 2016 Driver Standings is Lewis Hamilton with 192 points. Just behind him is teammate Nico Rosberg who has 186 points. At third overall is Daniel Ricciardo who managed to demote Kimi Raikkonen to fourth after winning third place in Hungary. Ricciardo now has 115 points.
