Red Bull-Honda partnership extended to 2025
Red Bull and AlphaTauri are racing in their second home venue at this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix. That's because their former engine supplier, now their technical partner Honda, owns the Suzuka International Racing Course.
And to celebrate the return of Suzuka in the F1 calendar, Honda and Red Bull are making things more special this weekend. From Suzuka onwards, more Honda logos will appear on the RB17 and AT03 racing machines, adding to the usual HRC logo seen on the engine covers of these F1 cars.
Honda says this is to show the stronger partnership between both companies to further evolve and popularize motorsports, as their collaboration continues until the end of the 2025 season.
In addition, Honda has also announced Red Bull driver Sergio Perez will serve as Honda Racing School Suzuka (HRS) ambassador and will participate in the HRS Driver Academy which will take place this November.
Meanwhile, Verstappen, Perez, Tsunoda, and Gasly are scheduled to participate in Honda Racing's Thanks Day 2022, where a variety of Honda Racing machines will be showcased at the Suzuka Circuit.
With Max Verstappen on the brink of sealing his second drivers' title on a circuit where F1 titles have been decided before, the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend could very well be one for the books.
