Michael Schumacher's manager says the seven-time Formula One (F1) world champion is still improving, almost 17 months after suffering severe head trauma in a skiing accident.

The F1 legend's manager, Sabine Kehm, said in an interview that Schumacher is still improving. Kehm added that Schumacher's recovery will be a lengthy process.

“We are happy to say still he does improvement and I say this always considering the severeness of the injury he had. But of course, it will take a very long time for everybody involved and we are happy to take this fight,” said Kehm.

Last June 2014, Kehm announced that Schumacher is out of his coma. Four months after, he was discharged from the Lausanne Hospital to continue rehabilitation from his home in the Swiss town of Gland.
