Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup resumes this July
Toyota Motor Philippines announces the return of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup on July 10

Did you miss seeing Vios Cup cars competing for first place at the Clark International Speedway (CIS)? We sure have. Then again, it has been over a year since Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) went to the race track for the Vios Racing Festival. But very soon, racing will resume once more. How soon, you ask? The 2021 season of the Vios Cup will take place on July 10, 2021.

There are some changes, however, for the 2021 season. For starters, it's no longer called the Vios Racing Festival (VRF). Instead, it's now officially called the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup. Just like the VRF format, there will be a grid race together with an autocross challenge. On the grid, expect to see some familiar names and faces together with new challengers fresh from the Toyota Gazoo Racing Academy.
The other change would be the spectators, or rather lack thereof. Unfortunately, the 2021 season of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup will not be open to spectators and visitors. Only drivers and organizers will be allowed to enter CIS during the race day and the practice beforehand. How will you watch the race? The entire event will be live-streamed on the official TMP Facebook page and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Facebook page.

You may not be able to watch the races live at the track, but at least racing will resume. It's also a way to keep racers and organizers safe amid these uncertain times. In addition, the government might not allow having spectators due to the current quarantine measures.
Assuming all goes well, expect to see the Vios Cup cars zooming around CIS again on July 10, 2021. Meanwhile, the subsequent races are scheduled to take place on September 11 and November 6.
