Triple 8 Cup postponed, organizers cite unexpected bad weather

The first ever race and music festival in the Philippines has been postponed due to inclement weather. According to the organizers of the Triple 8 Cup, the unexpected bad weather due to a developing low pressure area will be a safety issue come race day.
The race has been rescheduled to June 17, 2017 next week, and will still take place at the Batangas Racing Circuit.
In review, the Triple 8 Cup is a drag race, car show and music festival in one. Those interested in taking their car out at the quarter mile can join for PhP 3,000. Paddock rentals are also available for PhP 2,500. For those that want to show off their rides can register for PhP 1,500.
Participants that will join the drag race event will have to have the following equipment, helmet, working seatbelts, closed-toe shoes and long pants. Pro-racers with racing suits are also allowed.
Gates and registration starts at 6:00 AM. A whole day event pass retails for PhP 100.
