KIA SPORTAGE....ok ba 'to?
« on: February 20, 2006, 09:09:20 PM »
I'm thinking of selling my Honda Civic HatchBack in exchange for a 96/97 AT Sportage for me & my wife...I'm just wondering if it's worth it...It's a KIA, I might have problems with it in the future, and it's an investment for me & my wife...Please feel free to post your inputs whether positive or negative. Thank you.  ;D

How about the Sorento? :)

Test driven one over the weekend, the vehicle is quite fine, but don't expect it to exceed expectations. Maluwag siya sa loob, malakas rin naman iyong makina, but for some reason di siya ganun ka-OK i-drive kasi ang lambot masyado ng manibela, ng preno, etc. etc.

look for another brand na lang...

my sister's boss bought one when it was just released...  the day her driver got it from the dealer sa edsa... upon reaching san pedro sa SLEX, nag over heat,  the car is brand new at tumirik... gulat boss ng sister ko nung tumawag driver nya... mam nandito ako sa san pedro, tumirik po yung sportage, nag over heat...

nung tinawag sa kia...aba sabi kasalan pa daw ng driver baka di marunong mag drive ng sportage... >:(

wala pang 2 hours sa road sira na sisihin pa driver

Parang mushrom yang Sportage '97. There they were before all around town... and now where are they?
heard not so good inputs about it. even kung [email protected] 4000rpm 2.0L gas, it seems to be weak. Maybe others could say about the ride quality. if your are looking for something higher and part time 4x4 just get the '97 CRV to start with.
...Some people get too hung up on hardware and technology and forget t

the 1st gen sportage - no. the 2nd gen sportage - yes!

but if you plan to get a 2nd hand softroader, I suggest you get either a RAV4 or a CRV.

Get Kia sportage iyun 2nd gen... or a Vitara same category sila na compact off-roader... If i'm not mistaken the sportage can shift from 2H to 4H to 4L ... same with vitara and feroza. and all of em' have ladder frame chassis.

But if ur more on the Soft-roader type... get the CRV or the rav4... but personally i'd go for the 1st gen rav4... coz it has this switch that enables to switch from all-wheel to front-wheel drive.
We import OEM radiators, condensers, evaporators, aux fan, steering rack and pinion etc...

My family used to own the 1st generation RAV4, it was full time 4 wheel drive. There was an electronic switch that was there was kind of like a "power" switch that would make the Auto tranny's shifting points higher.

Yep! I agree with most of the guys. No! I think your hatchback is far more worth of an insvestment than a Kia Sportage. My friend used to have one and it's all headache he got. I'd prefer an AUV than a Sportage bro. Find something else, good luck! ;)

For that budget I think its better to buy an AUV from Toyota or Isuze instead. Kahit entry level lang very reliable na and economical. :)
