It's not the newest , not the most fuel effecient, not the most spacious, not the most stylish in its segment.

But I like it because it has a certain charm to it.  I was at the Nissan dealer this morning checking it out.  It has a two tone leather interior, metal accents on the doors, a heads-up display unit (HUD) among its features.

If I was in the market for a compact, I'd be getting this one.  But that's just me.  Maybe I'm just missing our '01 Sentra.

i think this model is still an n16 dba? if so, its a pretty comfy daily driver(read: the opposite of sporty) because of the very light steering wheel, gadgets and leather seats. suspension is soft though and the rear can bottom out even with no passengers at the rear but this can be fixed by changing the shocks ata. its quite light too at around 1140kg-1160kg if i remember correctly.

although kung bibili ka brand new ngayon, within 6 months bagsak na agad price nyan since nissans especially the sentras have bad resale value. in this case id say go for the 2nd hand altis na lang or find a slightly newer altis 1.8l and save a bit of money.

btw how much na ba brand new ng sentra now?

thanx bro..

they are selling it at 835K for the 1.6 GS AT model which is the top of d line for the sentra..they are offering lots of packages like the rear/front(chin) spoiler, rear/side skirt, led signal lamp, backing up sensor plus the typical tint, mats, covers, rustproof for free AND free chatell, insurance, Lto reg(3yrs) with a minimum DP of 20%..

do this freebies justify their selling price for this car?

The 180GT is dead.  The GS is the new flagship of the line up.

If you really like it and intend to keep it for a long time then go for it.

Aside from the idiot proof rear suspension (almost zero maintenance), another thing I like about the Sentra is it uses a timing chain (instead of a timing belt).  The timing chain can last the lifetime of the vehicle without needing replacement.
