Sorry, we don't have here the units you mentioned, except for the gray market.

like what luwe said;

Ako hintay sa RX8 kung ganun.  Nangangarap lang naman.
::) ;D :-X but i guess if anything i'll get me a boxtype lancer - i dunno how much that was brand new back in the early 80's

Hi Guys!

Having trimmed down the list, I settled for these 3 choices:

Toyota Camry 2.4V
Honda Accord VTi-L
Nissan X-Trail 250X

Actually, I am replacing my 12-year-old Benz with one of the choices above.

In terms practical use, presentability (especially on formal occassions), interior space, styling, good for long trips and a "little" speed when you have the urge, what will you choose?

Homerx, yung 2004 F-150 is really a consideration for me, pero still depends if it will be practical. :)

Thank you again guys! :)

The Toyota Camry seems to fit the criteria you specified.  But this car is best if you are the rear passenger, rather than the one driving.  Test drive one and see for yourself.  In addition, the car seems so... "bare" inside.

If you're looking for a fun-to-drive car, the Accord may be better for you.

The X-Trail doesn't seem to fit your stated criteria, except that it is good for floods.   ;D

If you're inclined towards a mini-SUV, I think the Escape looks more elegant than the X-Trail.  Why not consider the Escape 3.0-liter V6?  Its only 1.345-million.

 :)

Just want to ask for your opinions: If you have a 1.3M+ budget for a new car, what will you choose?
new car? baka CRV na 4wd..

diba wala naman CRV na 4WD ngayon?  ??? Correct me if im wrong...

anyway, id go for the XTRAIL from your options, very practical for me yung choice na ito. Di ko type Accord and yung Camry reminds me of my mom...imho yan ha! no offense  ;)

VTi-L Accord na lang!

Konti lang difference in price sa VTi, pero malaki ang pinagkaiba sa looks and features.

Kainis lang yung stock tires (kahit na nice-looking stock mags).  Would've been better in 17-inch 50 rubbers.

with your 3 choices, sa accord na lang...

go up to 17s na mags or 18 if you can afford the tires :D

btw, do accords have black/gray interiors? rather than beige/brown.. it gets dirty so easily..

It gets dirty easily, but its better than black/gray interiors when you can keep them clean.

Hi Guys!

Thanks for your replies!

Anyway, I'm now more inclined on the Accord VTi-L. Lucky vacation leave day for me today and I took the chance to see the new Accord. It's really much nicer and stylish than the Camry, and the interior is very cool, looks like it is really fun to drive. I like the Green color with gray interior.

Last inquiry guys: having known of the fact that the engine of the Accord is exactly the same as the CRV, is it powerful enough to haul the Accord, with urge in a rush or if it is fully loaded with passengers? I heard many feedbacks that the CRV has a hard time in climbing especially steep roads, like when ascending parking lot exits. Can you please enlighten me on this? Is the torque of the 2.0L engine sufficient?

Thank you guys again!

 :)

Based on my CRV's experience, I usually switch off the overdrive when going into inclines in order to downshift to get more power.  No problem naman climbing.

The curb weight of the Accord (1350-kg) is lighter than the CRV (1460-kg).  So I guess it shouldn't be a problem.

They use the same engine.

The best thing to do is to ask for a test drive (you can simulate your usual passenger load during the test drive).
