BMW vs Mercedes-Benz

the two most sophisticated brand in the world,..  which of the two you prefer and why?

first and foremost, both cars have different targets in mind. mercs always tend to put techhnology, safety, and comort in exchange for driving dynamics and outright performance, while bmw is the opposite. for them, driving dynamics is the target, that's the reason behind it being called a "driver's car". engine performance is important and a more firm suspension setup is made in exchange to comfort.

for me i prefer bmw's more than mercs for the simple reason that bmw's are more enjoyable to drive. though there are merc models that i covet, like the 190e 2.5-16 amg, wich was made to slay the e30 m3, it almost did, but not quite. a good effort still though.

I don't agree with the looks part with current BMW's. (aka "Bangled Bimmers"  )

anyway, MB for me. I think they have more appeal here in the Phil.

yeah...well 7 series looks really bad but the new 5 and 3 looks better imo than their benz counterparts...or dahil ba parang for more "mature" or "older" people ang styling ng benz......

mahal nga lang talaga parts,maintenance, service etcetc. of both cars even for their entry level models (3 series and C class)

i would really love to own the c240 avantgarde and 325 na naka sports package...

if i really had to choose one...i'd pick the merc

anyway, MB for me. I think they have more appeal here in the Phil.

i personally happen to like the "bangled bimmers". Very refreshing in all honesty.

any of you guys ever see bangle's greatest hits, the current bmw 3 series? yes, he designed that!

Love your own.

We own a Merc and from a passenger to the driver I love it.

I've also been in a few Bimmers from the 3s to the 7s. Personnaly I still prefer the Mercs.

From the plush comfortable interiors to the detailed exteriors i prefer the Mercs. Though the Bimmers have the edge on the handling the Mercs perform as well as I need them to be.

The Mercedes Benz is my choice.

mb i think is preferred by matured audience. interior is defintely better than its bmw counterpart. but then if you compare the prices in each class, say MB C Class and the BMW 3 Series, ang layo ng difference. mas mura ang bmw. it goes without saying na best bang for the buck. but then its really hard to compare this two.

in the end, its the preference of the owner. comfort, performance, aesthetics, price? dun na lang magkakatalo

depende sa model. certainly the M class of merc is a car full of problems. pinaka-sakit sa ulo sa mga mercs ito. aside from that, yun line-up nila is solid.

i feel mas safe ang mga merc compared to Beemers. mas agressive yun styling ng bmw eh. mercs most of the time classic yun design na elegant at the same time.

although medyo slump yun merc lately sa quality nila, i think yun cars nila are still outstanding. i would take a c-class over a 3 series anytime, an e-class avantgarde over a 530d anytime, and it's a toss up between the 7 series and the s-class.

of course may maybach pa ang benz na walang pantapat ang bmw.

but then again may x5 ang bmw that is WAY WAY better than the ML series of merc.

overall....i will have to choose Merc.

maganda sana tagala un bmw lalo na un 740i at so called james bond's 750i( ive seen a couple of times sa kalye) pero mas oks parin un benz kc dami edition like the new s type( if im not mistaken un s 280 at s320) but last nyt when i was driving, side by side ako sa AUTHENTIC "SL 55" AMG 2003 edition sa kalsada!!! wow!! nakakalaway!!!

ang ganda, and its an AMG dre!!!

3-series vs C-class... definitely Mercedes.

7-series vs S-class... i like both!

 BMW ........... toys for the young boys .

 I prefer the MB over all in comfort , design , elegance ,performance except the price for the model I really want . Kahit stock na MB SL600 , kahit doon na ako titira sa loob .
