That's Mikko David's car. I don't think its running on any special suspension.

Although in the Production class, coilovers are allowed as long as they do not have external canisters.

coil overs lang and stock sway bars....the trick is with the camber...seeing the car often parang may binu-butingting yun mech nya on the alignment every now and then.

it could be camber/toe/caster....I can only guess
Enigz na lang for short

But the thing is, you're only running on one track. Why fiddle with the suspension settings that often? Dapat same setup lagi. Kasi pag laging binabago, you won't get the right settings.

depende...as the tire gets older medyo iniba...tapos nun nag palit ng tires from the T/A's to the new brans ( i forgot) nag palit.

I'm not sure kung pinalitan nga but from my point of view parang every now and then kinakalikot!

I will never know....sigh :-X althoug your logic holds great credence to a setup unyielding from an unlimited supply of tires....sigh  ::)

Again I really am not sure yun lang ang na-observe ko I may be wrong

mikko is using tanabe sustec pro coilovers with damping adjment.

Sori, I couldn't resist. Hehe

I'm using Tanabe Sustec Pro with damping adjustment. Evrything is still in the R&D stage so every race we test different settings to get the right feel and the best time. Also we check and fix the alinement of the suspension every weekend because the way we drive the car could easily lose its alinement settings.

We routinely check toe in/out. Especially at the front. We've fixed the camber already since we don't have camber adjustment kits.

So far I've found the Full Soft setting of the dampers the best for my car.

C!V!C BOY

boy oh boy.. some things never change..

kung sa f1 nga sobrang high tech na technology dun i mean lahat minomonitore e wala pa din silang fixed settings. sa local racing pa kaya.

youre not MINGLING it naman for the purpose of just TOYING around with it.. hope course its a constant thing na u MINGLE with yer setup for u to be able to get the best possible setup for yer suspension. HOW WILL YOU GET THE RIGHT SETTINGS IF U DONT EXPERIMENT? ano yan 1 shot wonder? hindi naman siguro binabago bago yan para mas lalong pumangit yung takbo ng car. >:( :-\ :-X >:(

Medyo tama ka dyan.....after all these are production cars only with very minimal racing components allowed. The key really is to concentrate on driving once you get an acceptable setup and balance on the car.

Subic and BRC have completely different setups and but once you get the tire presure, camber and alignment set...thats pretty much it.

Understanding the tire wear and performance during races however may be one of the single biggest factors in getting decent race times.

It is a combination of many things that produce good results.......driving being the most important.

Only production cars? I take offense in that. Teka lang tintop... ano background mo in car set up? More specifically "production" car set up? Do you know how difficult it is to get the right settings for our cars? Ang dami kayang factors (track temp, tire condition, track surface, time of day, weather, tire temperature, weight, etc) na kelangan i-consider to get the right data alone, ano pa kaya the right set-up? And we don't settle for an "acceptable" set up... too much is at stake. We always search for the "right" set up for the "right" conditions.

Alam mo na ba kung ano ang tamang tire pressure, camber and alinement set up for both tracks? If you do, I would really like to know. I'm shocked with the way you've simplified the whole equation. If you can back this up with the right data on varying conditions of each race, I'd really like to get you in my team.

Consider F1 for a moment... with your thesis, you're actually saying that there's no need for F1 teams to practice three days before qualifying. No need for F1 teams to practice in the morning before saturday qualifying. No need for F1 teams to warm up Sunday morning before the actual race.  What do you think they do during these practice sessions? Burn sponsors money just for the heck of it? Joy ride lang ba? Track time is very important in circuit racing tintop, even if we run production cars "only".

Yan, tama ka diyan... medyo. But please don't belittle our efforts. It's not just the money from our sponsors that make our endeavors all the more important for us, it's also the pride we derive from preparing our machines. Circuit racing is a combination of both man and machine, the harmony of which is paramount to success. With laptime differences going down to the tenths and even hundredths of a second (Yes, even if we run production cars ONLY),  every little tweak we perform on our cars should count. This is no ordinary Sunday drive.

Mikko...I`m on your side...I`m not discounting the efforts you have put in your racing.. ;D

I`ve seen you evolve in your racing and you have improved greatly...I think personally think its because you are now seasoned in your driving skills and attitude.

I would say my experience in kart and circuit racing goes back pretty far and I have done my share of practice and testing so I know where I speak from.

my observations are based on what I`ve learned and my point is directed to the newbies who will venture into circuit racing someday. Too many times I`ve seen people complain about setups when in fact they should`ve concentrated on driving.... ;)cael

Hahaha! kilala kita! Hahaha!  ;D Cael G?!?! What a small world.... the problem with those who start racing without the fundamental knowledge of car set up is they progress slowly. When I was a novice I knew dipsht about car set up. And it didn't help that everyone else on the track was too busy to care. Not to mention I drove a car that simply wouldn't turn. (Kayo na bahala alamin kung ano kotse ginamit ko then, quiet na lang ako) It's this deprivation of knowledge that fuels our quest to perfect our skills, not only in setting up the car but also in driving.

Yes driving is important, but of course you will also need equipment that will cooperate with you in the long run. And one way to get that is to learn what's going on with your car. You don't have to be a mechanic or an engineer to figure out the nuts and bolts of your race car. You just have to be aware and conscious of your how you, your machine and the world around you interact.

Thats me dude!! ;D...dang i miss racing back there but alas my work has taken me the land of oval racing.....hehehe!

Peace to you bro....and good luck to yer racing!
