It really doesn't matter where its made. Just as long as the company maintains all the possible quality check and control, its just as good as it gets. Geography lang iyan chong!!!!

Just some more details about the amp and its origin:

Guy (pronounced Gee), approached some home/pro audio amp manufacturer there in France with some specs three years ago. He asked them if they could build to those specs. They said sure. 24 months later, they called him up to listen to them. They said they liked, change this and that. 6 months later they had it done. They took the amps to Korea to be built.  Asked if the factory could meet the price point they were after ($3000). The Korean manufacturer said yes. To do so in France would have cost $8-10,000.

They have Motorola outputs sourced from the US, and Burr Brown opamps sourced from the US as well.

Can you possibly give us the names of these French audio manufacturers? Im into Hi end Home audio, and there are quite a number of excellent French brands.

Im sorry but Guy did not reveal those french manufacturers to us.  You know the brands from France...but im sure its not Jadis or those into tube.  I can not take a wild guess which manufacturer Guy approached...Micromega? YBA?  Guy has good connection with YBA..Focal and YBA has been working closely for quite some time...mmmmmmm!!!??

If I get to hear those amps I might just be able to guess its lineage. My guess, like you mentioned is most likely YBA. I would love to hear them paired with the Focal Eutopia Be's. hehehehe. any one kind enough to invite!!! hehehe.

I would hope its YBA too...really don't know though.  Elco, amps arriving this week!!!!! Finally!!!!!!
