the Altis S? if I remember correctly, it was the updated Altis 1.8G that came with HID's.

hi bro, it was indeed the 1.8G that came out with the stock HID.  pero reflector based pa din siya and uses d2r bulbs.  the headlight assy is around 40k a piece  :o

I do have the taiwan projector headlights that we are selling for 6k a pair though.  good basis for a retrofit :)

engel

wow 40k grabe hahahha

etong taiwan projector headlights, buong assembly na or projectors lang?  :)

i heard rin kasi dati na taiwan made headlights hinde ganun kaganda visibility compared to oem headlights, totoo ba to?  :)

bri g

yes its the whole headlight assy na :) visibility is not so good though to be honest.

If your headlight takes 9006 bulbs (HB4), you can opt for HIR (Halogen Infra-Red) bulbs pioneered by Toshiba.

Now here's an interesting tip:

Normally they would cost like $30 each but John Deere (yes, the one that sells tractors) sell them for $11ea as they are OEM for certain tractors.  :o
...and we 'drive' our cars on the 'parkway' and 'park' our cars on the 'driveway'...

engel

thanks uli for the replies  :) parang ang laking hassle magparetrofit ng headlights or maghanap ng matinong headlights w/ projectors na hehe

yes, hassle nga magpa-retrofit. but it's the right way to go if you want to put HID's in your car.  ;)

BTT: I checked the Parts Dept of Toyota Cubao the other day and saw that a Vios' headlamp assembly costs 6.5+T each! :o (that's just one side!)
