You can stick with the 0W40 since it's a thin 40 weight oil.

Eto gamit ko ngayon. So far wala naman ako nakikitang problema sa makina simula nung ginamit ko to. Yung mga kaopisina ko ganitong langis din ang gamit at wala naman akong naririnig na bad comments mula sa kanila.

I used this way back in 1997 when my car was new. Used it for a couple of years until I opened up my valve cover and saw that the insides were almost completely black.

I'm not really impressed with magnatec. IMO the new shell helix hx7 has better specs overall.. Could they have changed the formulation of magnatec by now?

During that time, Castrol claimed that this was fully synthetic and was priced like a syntehtic ( I didn't know the nuances of oil terms back then). Now it's just labeled as mineral oil I think.

Its marketed as a semi synthetic AFAIK. But their EDGE products looks promising at 5w-40 and 0w-40 grades.. Good reviews from other sites.. I figure if the castrol sold here has the same line up as those seen in the castrol malaysia then probably they have the same product overall for the Southeast asia market..

On my next change oil, I'll be using Motul. Mukang masisira makina if I am going to continue using this. Thanks! :fingers:

I've been hearing neg things bout castrol, they're saying that it can produce sludges in the engine w/c could cause enging issues bigtime? is this tru?

wala pa naman ako nakikitang sludge build-up sa 4g63na ko since using magnatec, ...but sa castrol gtx medyo matindi ang pagkaitim nya kaya i tired magnatec. sabi sa news meron daw "nahuli" na sindikato namemeke ng castrol products, sa alerto24 pinakita dati. :partyon:

so far wala pa naman ako napapansin na iba sa makin ko, pero baka next oil change ko mag-Shell Helix na lang ako.
