'03 altis 17" tire size

Hi there

I currently have 205-45-17s installed with rota's on my altis. i went over a pothole pretty hard last saturday night and one of my tires got flattened kaya im getting paranoid. I want to install thicker series tires on my car sana. I have stock springs and shocks installed, nothing lowered, kaya ang laki pa ng gap between my car's fender and tires. Anybody know if any of these tire sizes will my my '03 altis safely?

205-55-17
205-60-17

I think 205/50R17's would be fine as well. I would also suggest 215/45R17's. I think the 55 and 60 series tires are too tall though. your Altis would look like an SUV with those on!  :violent1: :wave:

Im using the same tire size as u have. If safety is your concern, get better headlight for your altis and drive slowly if you don't know the road. Para next time maiwasan mo nalang ganung scenario.  I've had the same experience before sa express, probably traveling at 60-70kph, went over a 10-12 inches diameter na malalim na butas di naman ako na flat(lucky). It doesn't happen always. besides would it have made a difference kung naka 50 or 55 series ka? kasi feel ko malaki sobra bukas nung sayo to flatten the tires.

Regarding sa main question mo, 50-60 series syempre mas safe. Kaso pangit tingnan, palit ka nalang 16" mags if you're going for it. 205/50r16 ok din naman.
