suprisingly he used a 1ZZ, the engine found on our 1.8 altis rather than the corolla XRS which has a 2zzge 190hp engine similar to the celica.

the 2zzge is high-compression and too high-revving. I think the 1zzfe is better for turbocharged application.

it doesnt really matter since they already have changed the internals of the 1zz. the 1zz has a 10:1 compression ratio stock which can also only handle low boost unless they change the internals.

The MR-S T was still being built last time I saw it... hit some ungodly nice number on the dyno, so the owner had the engine taken apart so they could replace everything inside with forged parts (before blowing it up... awww... where's the fun in that? ). Don't know what they hit after the rebuild.
