To make the story short. My friend has a Z and he has 1 new tire and 3 balding tires. He's driving from San Antonio, TX to New Jersey(1800miles). When he gets to NJ he is selling the car. The reason is the 45 is cheaper than 50 since he's selling the car anyway.

My question is: Is it safe to drive with 3 tires with a 45 profile and leave the slightly used tire w/ a 50 profile? Thanks!

Theres the possibility of confusing the ABS and Traction Control system and throw an ABS warning light. One wheel with the odd size tire would have a different wheel speed than the other 3.

another question: what if he gets 45 for the front and 50 for the rear?will that be fine?

That's ok, so long as the right and left tires are the same size and model
