which one?

i'm torn between two variants of vaio, pls help me pick.

Option A:
-Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz
-4GB RAM
-320GB HDD

Option B:
-Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
-4GB RAM
-250GB HDD
- +100USD approx 5,000 pesos

everything else is the same. OS is Vista. main purpose is for photo editing, which would you pick?

would you really feel the difference of the extra 0.4GHz? is it worth sacrificing the 70GB HDD space and paying extra 5,000 pesos?

i would get the 2.4 w/250gb... just because the hard drive is easier to expand, you can get an extra 320gb-500gb external HD for less than $100 these days... i just saw a deal not too long ago for a 1TB for $100 actually.

as for the 2.0 vs 2.4.. im not too sure if it will make that much of a difference, though, there should be especially if youre gonna run intense programs. you also gotta consider the graphics card you have. if it comes with a good graphic card then it shouldnt matter that much if you get a 2.0. just my 2pesos

the HDD being easier to upgrade is a good point, thanks! :-) actually, i have a 320gb of Buffalo external that i use with my old thinkpad.

the other models have better video cards, but they're like 200USD more and i can't afford it anymore.

Hmm Option B!

Since you're going to use this for photo editing you're going to need lots of CPU power!
Windows Vista built in? Just be patient  I find Windows XP faster than Windows Vista
