Its official. Panasonic has posted official specs on their website.

There's gonna be two versions, black and white. Specsheet looks almost the same as LX-3 with the addition of HD video capability and 1:1 aspect ratio. I think better high ISO would be included too. Can't wait! Gonna have to start saving up for this.

Update:
Henry's is already selling this around 25k.. hehe! bili na!

Pero another thing, may service center ba ang Panasonic for these models? (LX3 and LX5)

Brent

Tempting tempting... I'm waiting for reviews before I buy.

Brent

Gave in to temptation and bought one in white! Got it for 26500 with free 8gb SD, 3rd party case, and film screen protector. Still MADE IN JAPAN.

Normally what happens is they send your camera to Japan pa ata for servicing. Never had problems with the LX3 before.

how's the performance of the lx5 brent?

Its not too far from the LX3 actually. A little less noise. The video is a lot better though.

I'm still satisfied with my LX3. :)

Its not much of an upgrade from the LX3. Its a waste of money lang to do so since the LX3 is a very good camera already. I was buying a new one, so I opted to buy the newer LX5.
