Clean interior first with vaccum n wipes then wash/polish/wax or wash wax if the car doesn't need polishing.  Brand I use is Meguiar. If engine bay is a bit dirty I just wipe it with cloth.

kbh

yep.. maintain rin a good clean interior...
vaccum it always if you have the time and if your seats are leather, try using leather clener and put leather conditioner...

well just wax your car in the shade, not under a direct sunlight

eley

i follow this step kapag full detailing giniagawa ko.

1. engine cleaning
2. interior cleaning - vaccum, clean the interiors, dressing
3. exterior
 a. wash
 b. clay
 c. cleaner wax
 d. polish/sealant
 e. wax
 f. dressing (moldings, tires)

pero kapag maintenance lang i just do 2 & 3 a,b,e,f

Sir, gud day, i read all your replies, and am just newbie here digesting all your inputs...and am glad i joined in this Forum, well, herebelow are listed are my queries:
1. How do we often WAX?
2. How many times a week do we have do wash our CAR, a. as necessary only b. if its tormented by raindrops c. if you feel liking to wash it d. once a week if clean nothing to be done just interior cleaning ...
3. How often do we have to wash or clean the underchasis? do we use mild steam wash ? or moderate water pressure?
4. is it advisable to use a moderate pressurize water jet available in the parket to do primary wash? kasi nga medyo minsan muddy or bird droppings, insects stuck ,and hard to removed with ordinary splash on of water do mahirpa naman kung gagamitan mo pa ng basahan yun with flowing water ,all the stuff might rub in leaving a superficial minor scratches... does this moderate water jet car wash doesnt damage the paint?
5. whats the best stroke in Waxing?
6. in Cleaning some tubings /hoses , do we need any washing solution or just plain wet cloth...
7. what are those parts be avoided getting wet?

well, am so handicapped when it comes to Cars...dapat talaga i have to do my part and take good care of my baby...

1. How do we often WAX?

As often as needed. Depends purely on what lands on the car on a daily basis. There's no concrete rule so to speak.

Quote2. How many times a week do we have do wash our CAR, a. as necessary only b. if its tormented by raindrops c. if you feel liking to wash it d. once a week if clean nothing to be done just interior cleaning ...

Same as above... Best to clean the car often to prevent contaminants from bonding and etching the paint.

Quote3. How often do we have to wash or clean the underchasis? do we use mild steam wash ? or moderate water pressure?

ALL types of washing is dependent on how you use the car, if you rarely go out during the rain, pass through dirty roads, etc then you don't need it as much and vice versa.

Quote4. is it advisable to use a moderate pressurize water jet available in the parket to do primary wash? kasi nga medyo minsan muddy or bird droppings, insects stuck ,and hard to removed with ordinary splash on of water do mahirpa naman kung gagamitan mo pa ng basahan yun with flowing water ,all the stuff might rub in leaving a superficial minor scratches... does this moderate water jet car wash doesnt damage the paint?

Everytime you touch your paint, you are creating microscratches to some extent, regardless of what method you use, as long as there's physical contact, you will have micro contact points since paint is very soft... Water will not damage paint, it's the pressure... just use common sense, if obvious naman that the pressure can cause you pain when you touch the stream, syempre don't use it on the body...

5. whats the best stroke in Waxing?

Stroke? Whatever stroke you use to minimize scratching and can apply the product evenly and thinly...

Quote6. in Cleaning some tubings /hoses , do we need any washing solution or just plain wet cloth...

Non-petroleum products will clean rubber well.

Quote7. what are those parts be avoided getting wet?

Techically, the engine compartment is water proof, but through age, seals soften and gaskets starts to loosen... Parts that should be "noted" for moisture damage are:

1) Alternator
2) Sensors, MAF, O2, Knock, etc
3) ABS controller
4) ECU (if in engine)
5) High Tension wires and distributor
6) Fuse box
7) Air filter assembly/box/tube
8) Horns/sirens
9) other "sensitive" electrical upgrades like ballasts, etc.

well, am so handicapped when it comes to Cars...dapat talaga i have to do my part and take good care of my baby...

hoping to hear more from you guys..
