I'm planning to buy MDPs for our vehicles. All Mitsubishi's so I need M14 x 1.5. I was wondering if it's worth it to go for Dimple which is only available in US so we still need to have it shipped. Or should we just stick with the locally available ones like Project Kics (Kyo-EI) which is carried by Autoplus.

Just buy the Kyo-Ei which is locally available and avoid the hassle. I'm sure the price isn't too far off anyway. You can also opt for a Filtermag, its also available in Autoplus. Its mounted on the oil filter naman with similar effects.

Yeah but they say that Dimple plugs are the best ones available in the market. I'm wondering if anyone here uses one. About Filtermag, too expensive for me. :dontknow:

I use Greddy magnetic oil filter and SARD magnetic drain plug on selected vehicles. You can actually just use either the mag drain plug or filter since they have the same purpose. As for the dimple plugs being the best... umm IHMO I don't think so. Actually if you examine those made by Kics, Greddy, Sard, Zero Sports, Dimple etc. they almost look the same, and magnets are of the same strength.

Just a bit of tip though, choose a magnetic drain bolt that has a protruding magnet. That is why I'm not much into the Kics drain bolt, because as far as I remember their magnet is at the same level w/ the bolt length itself.

Ok thanks for the tips sir. Btw where do you source your plugs? I'm interested on the one made by Greddy. :D

The subaru sti 08 has this as standard. Not sure though with the newer models.  Has anyone tried cutting their oil filter to see if the magnet on the filter really caught anything?
