mga tol, I need your help  hirap na hirap na akong mag decide e. I'll be replacing all my 4 tires on my '07 civic. naka 205/55/R16 pa din ako. my choices are:

    1. Yoko A.Drive: Treadwear 340: LI/SS 91V
    2. Yoko A.Drive R1: Treadwear 300: LI/SS 91W
    3. Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline RE002: Treadwar 220: LI/SS 91W

Wala masyado difference sa price e. I am looking for an everyday tire, no more racing. Everyday nakaka 50km ako back and forth. Treadwear of 220 of the Potenza is not so bad anyway kasi yung Turanza ko ngayon e 140 pala ang treadwear na tumagal din nang 40km. So ibig sabihin, yung Potenza pwede pa sumobra sa 40km so its not that bad. Yung R1 naman e something in the middle of the two pero hindi kasing ganda ng sidewall ng A.Drive at hindi kasing ganda ng thread pattern ng RE002.

Ano sa tingin nyo?

Bro, nasa same situation tayo a few weeks ago..

My choices were:

Yoko S.Drive = 5650/each
Turanza GR90 = 6650/each
A.Drive R1 = 5200/each
A.Drive = 4800/each
Potenza RE002 = 5220/each

I ended up getting the RE002, same size ng sayo (I use a ford focus tdci). Nag iba ung *feel* ng steering, mas smoother compared to the old Eagle NCT5 I had but I don't know if the new feeling is good or bad. I particularly chose that tire because I have factored in safety + I want to have a better tire during trackdays.

i'd still go for more grip than treadwear...and the counterpart of the RE002 in yokohama is not the a.drive R1 but the s.drive.

still, i'm very surprised to know that the S.Drive is more expensive than the RE002.  makes the RE002 look more attractive to me now.

@athlonfan,

i'm guessing you're the same athlonfan in ppc?

anyhow, which shop did you get your prices from.  i'm shopping for new tires too and those prices look pretty good to me :) :) TIA :)

I bought tires recently for my Galant also size 205/55/16. The cheapest tire I could find were Kumho Ecsta SPT at 4,500 each from Roadstar BGC. I chose it since the Galant is just a family car and not a vehicle used at high speed.

Surprisingly when I got home and researched the tire on the internet it got very good marks in Tire Rack's road and track tests:

"  What We Liked: Capable wet performance and traction
    What We'd Improve: Refine ride quality and light handling on the road
    Conclusion: A sporty tire that performs in wet conditions
    Latest Test Rank: 2nd
    Previous Test Rank: 1st (August '07), 1st (May '05)"

2nd place overall
