hello po mga kaibigan. i am planning to gift my old but reliable toyota corrola a new stereo. any suggestions as to the brand and type na best bang for the buck? 1-din lang po. tnx

Good na rin Pioneer. Do some inquiries as to feature preferences.

will buying a new head unit necessitates buying a new set of speakers din? it doesn't have to be same brand din po di ba?

If you still have the original speakers, replace them. But if you already have good aftermarket ones, then no need to change. However, if the speakers don't match your new HU, then you need to upgrade. It could be a different brand.

i would say yes (to the speakers) unless your current speakers are still good, sound-quality-wise.

if you just need a replacement head unit, then the Pioneer DEH-1350MP would already do:

but I suggest getting higher models with extra features like USB and ipod connectivity.  ;)

alpine is nice but pricey. go for pioneer especially the 2450 model or up
