Very much evidenced by the performance of the team in Silverstone. :P

Good showing for Mark Webber! You called it right on the dot Paul. It would really be good to see him fighting for it until the end of the season.

Paul

yeah it was a very good drive by mark. glad to see flat out racing unlike the previous races.

a perfect birthday gift for Nico Rosberg!  :birthday:

but a shameful race for Pirelli overall. (multiple tire failures!)  :nono:

Paul

quite ironic merc suffered a tire failure.

Scripted para di daw sabihin nandaya sila. :P

Awesome result at the German Grand Prix! And Pirelli finally worked out their tire troubles (at least for the time being).

Nice battle all throughout the race! And a very good finish with Kimi chasing after Vettel! Too bad for Kimi he didn't have enough laps. Awesome race for Grosjean too, I think the Grosjean naysayers really should look into him as a very talented driver.

I actually thought Grosjean was gonna catch Seb and go for the win at one part of the race. I'm glad it didn't happen.  ;D

He actually could have but was probably advised not to risk his already sure podium finish. He's not in the title running anyway, so Kimi was the priority to secure a higher position. Good team play for Grosjean.

10 races to go, right?

yes 10 races left. the season is far from over. pretty much anything can happen as seen in the german grand prix. would really be nice to see kimi go head to head with vettel in the standings until the very last race of the season. but alonso will not give up that easy so it will be a three-way battle.

poor hamilton still can't seem to convert his pole positions into a win. mark webber might even overtake him in points.

for some reason, i'm seeing kimi play things like prost (but still not there yet). predictions in the top 3 for constructors:

*red bull
*ferrari
*lotus

what do you guys think?

how i wish for funds to be able to watch another SingTel GP...

I think it'll be this at the end of the season:

Red Bull
Ferrari
Mercedes
Lotus

i like lotus but somehow they can't seem to crossover to being a top teir team. not the sharpest when it comes to strategies and slow in pitstops. these things are crucial in kimi's championship bid.

a typical case of we got the driver but we don't have the car thing. although you can't take that australian GP win away from them. that was an epic one for the books.

another team i'm looking into taking an interest in is force india. i saw them last year in SingTel and i loved how their cars just glide into all those sharp and unforgiving turns of SG's streets. but they have this pattern of "good in practice but sucks in race" kind of thing.

They got the car as well, it's more like they don't have the quick thinkers at the pitwall. Case in point silverstone where the team didn't pit kimi at the safety car period. Got swamped in the end. Even in nurburgring, they could have won if they covered vettel's last stop.

This season has really brought the excitement back with pit strategy coming back into play again compared with the past couple of seasons where it was just team order and having the best car on the grid.
