Morning all, and apologies in advance for a long first post.

As it says above, I'm originally from the UK and after 5 years in Kuala Lumpur am now moving to Manila. After a few years moving around various Asian posts this is the last shift for me, so it's time to get settled and have the chance to play with silly motors again.

At the moment, we've (me and the wife and two kids - she's Filipina) just taken a condo in Makati but will be looking to buy a house early next year. Which brings me to the issue surrounding motors. Obviously, I'll be buying myself something to get around in so that's the condo parking space full. However, I've seen a toy I want and this gives me a problem or two:- 1) it's several islands away, 2) it's got a seized engine, 3) My tools are all still in Malaysia and 4) I've nowhere to put it. Apart from that, all is good!

As far as I can see, the trip is do-able via RoRo ferries but can I hire a large car trailer anywhere? Or does anyone do a low loader at sensible rates? That would be problem 1) sorted. Issue 3) will be cured in the next couple of months which will allow me to attack problem 2). That just(?) leaves number 4), so where's best to look for some storage rental so I can house it until I get my own place?

It's a big old Yank Tank with a rather large V8 , so it needs saving. Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Of course, in the meantime, I may see something that's closer, works and doesn't need a lot of spannering. But that still leaves me with storage.

And no, Madam doesn't know of my plans yet. Life on the edge!!

Right, I'll  :stfu: now and thank you in advance for any tips.
