Pioneer head unit remote: Repair or replace?

The remote of my 2007 model Pioneer head unit is malfunctioning.  It's like the "up" in the 5 way button is stuck as the head unit keeps responding as if it's being pressed all the time.  The remote battery also discharges quickly because of this.  I already tried opening it up to clean the terminals but it only cured it for a while.  Can this be repaired? Or does Pioneer sell replacement remotes even for old models?  Head unit model is DEH P7950UB and the remote model is CXC5717.
