I don't get it. The FORTUNER in Thailand still gets rear drum brakes, looking at its website. But in Australia it has 4 wheel discs. I do hope in philippines they sell with rear discs. Toyota thailand is weird.

they just can. :P

As seen in the thailand launch the vehicle has rear discs, but the Thai specs and brochure shows drum brakes. Toyota Thailand is so retarded. Probably they are gonna add the rear discs later this year. I hope philippines gets the rear disc brake version like australia and New Zealand

Incremental upgrades. Which should have been standard in the 1st place.

Maybe on the MMC model it will be one of the highlights.

New headlights! New taillights! NEW 4 Wheel disc brakes!!!

Even if Toyota will still put rear drum brakes, Fortuner will still sell. I myself had decided this one instead of the Montero and Everest, I just have to save more and sell one of my vehicle.

Maybe because its a very minor detail, which most buyers dont care about? Or even notice? If you had the chance to date a supermodel, would you say no, just because she had a minor scar on one of her legs? :-)

According to all available reviews, it has taken a big leap forward in refinement. That is reportedly the major difference between the 1. and 2. generation. The new one also gets a whole new generation of diesel engines and - finally - a 6 speed AT instead of the old 4 speed.

So yes it is for sure better. But Toyota also raised the price particularly for the top spec V variants. The old one will still get the job done for years or even decades to come. So it really depends on, how much money you want to spend on your vehicle.

Mga sir tanong ko lang kung ang rear aircon ba talaga ng bagong fortuner mahina? Halis parang walang lumalabas na hangin, sobrang hina talaga? Thanks sana may makasagot..

Depende talaga yan sa pag avail mo. You should always make sure as to what car you're buying. Have it double check.

By the way, the Fortuner in Australia is similarly priced to the Fortuner in the Philippines, and has 5 link suspension while Philippines has 4 link, not to mention its rear disc brakes the Thailand Ph version does not have.

If you are selling a vehicle for over 2 million, at least put in better mechanicals in the TOTL
