joma,

sorry ah pero newbie lang ako when it comes to judging sounds. ano yung ibig sabihin ng "fluidity of the presentation"? thanks!

Raymond

Maybe Joma meant with "fluidity" is sound dynamics. Tama ba? Not sure.

Joma,
Since you have claims that your Focals are faster Dynaudio, I just would want to see a good comparison specwise on how you were able to say it.  Since you are into technical stuff, I would also want to ask how voice coil inductance, BL, and maybe group delay play its part in transient response aside from just pure Mms as basis.

Like Mike, I'm kinda lost on what do you mean by fluidity of the presentation.  Can you please explain about it.

BTW, hindi ganun kasimple makinig ang tao.  If you want to learn more about hearing...get a Anatomy book by Snell or a more specific book about Otolaryngology by Boise, if you want to know about Neurology get Adams.  BTW,  I have all those books.  I have gone thru them.  Hearing is not that simple as the length of the ear canal.

Peace!

Sa experience ko with my cousin dati pa (cos he's into building his own home speakers buying from raon) ok mag mix ng brands for separates use .... provided you also make sure that you're gonna use the right kind of crossover for it. =) But this will take a lot of your time auditioning if one part will be in harmony with another. so para mas practical .... if u got the dough, go for the bang!  =)

Hi Joma!

I would just like to appologize if ever my post offended you in any way.  I just couldn't buy the speed and hearing theory of yours.  But hey...who knows who's right?  It's hard to agree with everyone especially in this hobby of ours.  I know you have one hell of a system and I respect you for the work you put into it.  Maybe we should just stop thinking, stop hearing...and start to have fun in listening again.  Pasensya na, pre.

Peace! :)

Joma
