Bagac-Mariveles Road; Current condition?

Planning a little roadtrip and was looking at going around the Bataan Peninsular in my old Range Rover.

Does anyone have any update on the status of the Bagac - Mariveles section? All the information I have found so far is a few years old.

I have a 1995 4.6 Range Rover which I have spent the best part of two years messing with. I have pretty new Yokohama A/T tyres, have reinstated the air suspension so I can get plenty of ground clearance and have fully refurbished the cooling system with new (all metal) radiator/hoses etc. So she's in pretty good shape, but it's still a bit out of the way for a single vehicle.

Any current intelligence on condition of the road would be very useful.

Sorry, I'm a Brit so don't do Tagalog I'm afraid, apart from the swear words the wife has taught me.

I'd seen the DPWH site before, but as you'll see, it's from 2012, so I'm guessing the road will either have been improved, or allowed to get worse in the last 4 years. I wonder which? :-) I suppose I could drop round their office and ask them. They're only up the road from me, but having dealt with them before, I have a feeling they would have no answer!

Anyway, I've found out that for 15km out of Mariveles heading west, the road is now graded, so that just leaves the 35 or so KMS to Bagac now. I don't need it graded, just reasonably passable by a single 4x4.

I haven't got a firm date, just when a spare couple of days come along.
