napansin niyo ba sa mga rap/hiphop mtvs or sa mtv cribs na walang bimmers na oto ang mga rappers?  not sure of the reason though...pero i think mas bigshot ang dating ng benz.

for short,... mercedes-benz for passenger, and bmw for driver.... heheh... anyway,.. today... mercedes is changing its image... it's goin more sporty now than before...

MB SL55 amg, The most powerful production model Mercedes-Benz has ever built, this is the best 2 door convertible.  The MB E55 amg, Quickest production sedan in the market with 469-hp, the M5 has only 391 hp.  But i prefer the new BMW 5 series on the design though.  

3 vs. e class - i'll take the 3 series
5 vs. e class - i'll take the 5 series
7 vs. s class - i'll take the 7 series
M vs AMG - i'll take the SL55 amg and the E55 amg, i think amg has the edge this time.  

But you should wait for the next generation of M cars.    Besides, almost if not all AMG cars are automatics.  If it's performance is what you are after manual transmissions are the only way to go!  M cars are manual.

It really depends on what models you're comparing...

The current 469hp E55 AMG does 0-60 in 4.5 and clips the quarter in 12.5secs.  For roughly $75,000, those numbers will beat the better handling but slightly more expensive M5.   However, the new V10 M5 with an estimated 500hp is just a year away...

I had both brands and I noticed BMW are more fun to drive probably the reason why you see more bad drivers in BMW. Now I noticed the new Audi drivers are worst.
Maintenance is another story though, BMW parts are not readily available all the time compared to mercedes which has more grey market parts suppliers.
Another thing is indi german car (mercedes)  mechanics will not fix BMW while BMW mechanics will fix mercedes - a big disadvantage!
