yup, possible na L+R ang pre-outs ng head unit.

so that would be 1 pair of RCA preouts in this case right?

afrodikk,
in my case, only 1 of my 2 pairs of RCA preouts were used for my front seps and sub.  they were wired to my 4 channel amp in parallel, with the built-in xover filtering out the frequencies (low and high) appropriately to the corresponding channels (1&2 for the seps, 3&4 for the sub).

HTH.

What? 1 pair lang ang preouts for this not-so-entry-level head unit?

E di you won't be able to maximize the DSP capabilities it has ?

Teka , does it have DSP features such as listening position, ambience, etc. etc. or digital EQ lang?

bakit nga ba winire ng ganon yon? why not use the other preout for the sub?

rAImond, mike,
teka, yung wiring ko ba yung tinatanong nyo?  hehehe   ;D

honestly, i don't know.  i wasn't paying close attention when they installed my wires.  i only noticed that the connection was that way when i started experimenting with it with an xover.

it has 2 pairs of preouts, and some DSP features (http://www.expressmotion.com.sg/kenwood_dpx8020md.htm).

hmm, try fading all the way to the rear, kapag sub lang naririnig mo, yung rear preout yung gamit sa sub.

Chief IMm,

Assuming lang nga na talagang rear lang ang me line out, obligado ba na mag speaker input to the amp ako for the front seps?

jolog radyo eh...

Well at least your situation is much better than those guys owning an Altis 1.8 G, iyong 2-DIN nun walang preout (accdg. to Conrad). Mas masakit iyon diba? :)

For your question, you could:

1.) find a speaker-to-line-level converter for  your head unit. Kenwood yan diba?

2.) Get amps with speaker level inputs.

HTH!

Chief rAImond,

Most of the amps i have encountered have speaker level inputs. I have orig Alpines that have.

Question: How does sound quality/ fidelity compare with that of line-level inputs to the amp? If i am using speaker level for the front seps via an amp would this be comparable/ as good as using line level?

thanks,

Mga chiefs,

Ako'y nagsusumamo sa mga may manual ng head unit na kenwood ng 99 CRV, kung pwede lang po pakopya ako o pabasa man lang.

nagpapasalamat ng malugod,
