"pioneer DEH5550 or 7450?"

guys i just checked out the website of pioneer electronics for the models DEH7450MP and DEH5550MP.

ok na saken ung DEH5550MP. the MSRP is a whole $105 bucks diff!

meron na ba nitong 5550 dito sa pinas? anybody using one here?

its almost end of the month. malapit na me bumili ng HU.

so the 5550 is also a pioneer and capable of mp3 but doesn't have the oel display? how much?

well the 5550 retails for about 10+k with mp3 capability.

the 6550 cannot play mp3s

try 3550, it can play mp3 and im sure its much cheaper than 5550.

mukhang mas ok yung DEH5550MP to the DEH7450MP since its got newer features. the only thing hte 7450 has over the other is the OEL dsiplay?

2-3k price diff between the 2... which do you guys suggest i get? the 5550 or the 7450? mabagal daw magload ung 7450, is it just the same with the 5550?

i'll get this HU nalang its got more features, + newer ones to, - the OEL thats it right. and its cheaper so i can save a few.

if you want eye-candy, go for the 7450. maganda ang oel display niyan. regarding the features, halos parehas lang sila. both have 2 rca pre-outs, low pass/high pass crossovers and eq.

The upside though is WMA equipped na sya just like the high end 9450.

If you look at the series closely, the X550 is supposed to be more power/feature packed than its older bro the X450.

Value for money I'll go for the 5550.

Ang tanong san best buy? (Na merong stock as in bukas na ha)

the coding scheme of pioneer is the first number indicates the series, and the second indicates if its a newer version. the last 2 digits is for the area. for example:

5550 - has almost the same features sa the 7 series except that this one has no oel

7350 - my beloved head unit, oel and other features
7450 - newer than 7350 but same series (but 2v preout only, not sure why)
7300 - us version of 7350
7400 - us version of 7450

8450 - higher than 5 and 7 series.

i hope you get the picture

ek9, if you want to spend 2k for the oel, then go for it, paminsan talaga sulit siya kasi ganda ng display lalo na pag gabi, gets the chicks hehe, pero after 2 years baka pagsawaan mo.
