yup, sa alam ko local si anton ramos. compilation naman yan eh, hindi siya gumagawa ng music sa alam ko. parang mga cafe del mar may na may nagcocompile.

Yeah medyo house siya, unlike the previous ones that he has compiled. Not as relaxing, but I find it something that goes well with a lot of friends, cocktails and wine and I guess that's where the relaxing part comes in

Yep it isn't he who composed the songs. Some of the pieces in this album are songs that I have listened to long ago, but they're one of my favorites

Oh yeah.... if you've noticed, by Cafe del Mar 7, the overall atmosphere of the album changes. That's becasue it isn't Jose Padilla who compiles it anymore (I think it's Bruno already... ) Cafe del Mar 6 was his last one

Yeah I saw this also. They were taken from the first 6 albums. IOT's a 2 CD compilation for a not so bad price (Around 800 bucks)

Cafe del Mar: Volumen Seis (Volume Six )
--- I have always been a fan of this particular series that after listening to the whole album that I downloaded off the internet, I've been in search for the real thing (Wow... they sure have gone down in price. Lucky me ) After listening to the authentic copy, I have loved it even more Ambient and relaxing sounds coupled with dramatic entourages make this album the first and last thing you would want to listen to for the day

Anton Ramos is indeed local and is otherwise known as Mr. Music One/Tower Records. Very good compilations for the Chillout Project collection. There used to be a promotional radio station for the first album. I thought it was going to be a permanent station, pero bigla nawala after 3 months.

Chesky chill out, that I gotta check out.

The Cafe Del Mar Series vols 1-6 are indeed the better ones. But then 1-4 is too damn expensive. Only 5 and 6 are affordable.

Actually the albums from Chesky records are more on the jazz/samba type. They actually have a lot of other records. They even released 3 series of compilations that are supposed to be the best of their records and good for audio testing.

Yeah the 1-4 are too expensive. Maybe the 5 and 6 are already produced locally..? The new Cafe del Mar compilation that Andrew was talking about is produced locally eh

Is that the best of cafe del mar? if thats the double disc then its basically a compilations of some smooth tracks off 1-9....

1-4 are more for the beach...slow just for easy listening but if you listen to 5 up, it becomes more uptempo...well not really uptempo but you get the hint that its more modern..like moving from the beach inside the lounge for chill

In the music store in Powerplant. They sell for about 1100++ bucks ( Actually almost all the Hed Kandi Records are there and they all sell over 1K   )

yeah...thats the lastest beach house there is...waiting for the 04.04...but heck i dont even have 04.03 yet!

Ray do they have the beach house records there? or just an assortment of all the import cds?

Yeah dude don't worry. I saw all the Beach House records there. Better get there quick. Apparently the beach house series is pretty popular with a lot of people.
