stable daw sya sa 1 ohm eh according to the website.
im planning to use it sana at 3ohms... ilang watts kaya yun output nya at 3 ohms? 1000w or 750w?
--------------------

ULTIMATE series A6. A 1 ohm stable monoblock that´s perfect for the SPL competitor. Extremely powerful power supply. The output power in 4 ohms are 500 thrue RMS watts. A cooling fan is built in but the amplifier also provides a built-in fan control for external cooling fan.
Built-in, variable 50-125 Hz low-pass filter for subwoofers plus a 25 Hz subsonic filter with an 18 dB/octave slope. Dual power terminals where you can connect dual power feeds or a DLS Power Cap. Extra features are a phase control variable 0-180 degrees continiously.
A remote sub level control is included. Adjust the sub level from the front seat!

The A6 is 1-ohm stable.  I heard it can also take up to around 16 volts of power, although I don't know how you can get that much juice from the battery/batteries.  A lot of competitors use this in local dB Drags with a great deal of success.  With 16 volts, I bet you can squeeze at least around 800 watts from it @3ohms (W7, no?).  If you can only supply 13.8 volts to it, then ~670 watts sounds more realistic.

what if A6 vs jl 500/1? i hear the jl is underrated so mga 600w din yun right?

I'll have to go with the DLS A6.  It has more power reserve than the 500/1, which isn't that underrated at all.  At most, I think it puts out around 525 watts, constant at any impedance and voltage.  You get more power with the A6 at any impedance 4 ohms or higher.  Either one you choose, you'll be fine.  What sub you gonna use anyway?  10W7, 12W7?

According to Gunnar, DLS Technical Deptartment, A6 can be loaded down to 1 ohm. They specified only at 4 ohms because of silly rules for SPL competitors.

It delivers 500 watts @ 4 ohms, 870 watts @ 2 ohms, and 1100 watts @ 1 ohm load

Hehe... kilala mo rin pala si Gunnar...

Unfortunately, Papa RC intends to drop the load down to 0.75 ohms, so it might be too low for the A6 to handle.

yup, you're right. i stand corrected. hindi ko nabasa yang introduction part sa DLS website. antok na ako last night. hehe ;D

anyways, the a6 is a solid amp -- competition tested.

very good amp , micky use to power his 2 15L7 with this amp and won the db drag  :)

0.75 ohm load mono is difficult to match with the current
amplifiers available locally, unless Papa RC will use 2 10W7 in parallel to give a 1.5 ohm load to have a good match with A6 amp.

Just a suggestion.

13W7 yata gagamitin niya, eh.  Besides, two 10W7's will be slightly underpowered giving a final load of 1.5 ohms.  Power should be never compromised when dealing with these W7's, hence you settle for a W6v2 instead.  Two 10W6v2's (or 12W6v2's) will be more of a match to the A6.

DLS A6 amp is very reasonable compared sa Kicker's. ;D
Tama si sir WaZ, winning amp nina Mickey 'to. Class AB nga lang kaya kailangan ng mataas na voltage para ma squeeze ang power nito. ;D
