Title: Driving Music
Post by: CE on September 25, 2004, 08:21:18 PM
Guys, what music (or station) do you listen to while driving either here or abroad? For me, its as follows...

1. I listened to Bobby Caldwell and Rippingtons while driving up to the grand canyon and sedona from phoenix
2. I always played the new PAT METHENY GROUP CD "SPEAKING OF NOW" while driving along toronto's freeways. I also put in Earl Klugh for the smooth drive home.
3. Always tuned to KKSF-FM while driving along the bay bridge and hwy.101
4. Going from toronto to detroit, I listened to the WeatherReport and PMG's Imaginary Day over and over again. Made me drive to detroit 2 and a half hours early from the usual 5 hour drive hahaha
5. Here in metro manila while stuck in madness, I used to listen to Citylite 88.3FM and now at 105.1FM. Keeps me relaxed even in tense situations. Hahahaha ;D

Long drive from Manila to Quezon via Rizal-Laguna masarap pakinggan yung Entire Collections ni Jim Chappell, especially you're going uphill or downhill the winding road. Early mornings naman, either 98.7 DZFE or "O'l blue eyes" era.... Short trips, kahit anong madampot na CD dahil ilang songs lang naman eh.  ;)

Pag long cruise out of town, agree ako sa reggae, lalo na sa two tone ska.  Minsan mga Harry Bellafonte for kicks, contra antok.

Pagpauwi na, mga select cuts nung hey days ng big beats genre: Chemical Brothers, DaftPunk, Leftfield, Fatboy Slim.

Pag-feeling binata, N.E.R.D. or Kings of Convenience.  Pag-ipit sa gitna ng Edsa, bandang Cubao, Acoustic Alchemy, pampababa ng presyon.   :)

Adrenaline rush.... Hahaha. Their music(growls) keeps me awake all the time. Some say that I might get influenced by their said "RELIGION" however, I am listening to this kind of music just to get some techniques to enhance my double-bass drumming. Minsan pag sobra na yung pagkagothic nung song, nakakatakot na rin lalo na yung sa Dark Funeral. :fingers:
