Post by: dude on March 30, 2003, 06:46:28 PM
hey guys! anyone can give us more information on which cd-rs are the best to use? i use memorex cd r i think it has a problem with my changer. sometimes it wont read. do u think it might be the cd? or the changer needs cleaning? or the writer?

Philis rin gamit ng friend ko.. same prob...
di ata maganda ang quality eh.. i think mas ok pa ang generic na cd compared to that....

try mo naman generic cds or TDK.. kung nandiyan parin ang prob palinis mo na ang cd changer mo.. i don't think na may sira ang writer mo...

goodluck :)

that's bec. philips doesn't make their cdrs anymore... they outsource it to a company (dang i forgot the name) that is known for bad quality cdrs.

i use all sorts sony, acer, ritek, verbatim audio plus, generics, and cdrw on my pioneer hu and no problems so far...

tama sila, try cleaning your lens first.

I'm using Philips and haven't had any problems ever since. I've tried both the gold faced, green lettered ones and the pink lettered ones, no problem at all. I used Pioneer before, also very good, but quite expensive compared to Philips.

Try the LG Digital Audio CD-R, its one of the better ones I've used. Record at a maximum of 4x speed only for audio CDs.

I'm using mitsubishi cd-r, its d company who makes verbatim cd-rs. very good quality, pero mahal rin, last time i checked it was P15 apiece.

1 simple question. Is your changer CDR ready?, bka naman old model changer mo kasi pag if it is not cdr ready mag reread yan at first tapos pahirap ng pahirap hanggang ayaw na. :)

its supposed to say in the manual. usually pag newer models, it is cdr comaptible.

dati yung stock changer ng corona namin, unti unting hindi nakakabasa ng cdr until eventually ayaw na talaga. thats when i went looking for head unit and asked around here sa audioindustriya. instead of buying a simple hu, natuto ako pano mag setup ng maayos and naubos pera ko.

kaya ingat ka, baka magpasetup ka din hehe.

Hahaha!   ;D  Ingat nga lang, si Parak ang bumuyo sa akin, nandamay.

check your manual, it'll say if it's cd-r ready.  teka, kung vcd capable sya, i'd think cd-r capable din sya.

alpine changers are very sensitive. definitely your player can play CDRs, even older alpine models can.

And also the software used can sometimes affect playability.

Brent you mean hindi sensitive kasi pag sensitive ibig sabihin mapili. Pero alpine yung mga old one mapili im a alpine user before until nag labas ng cdr ready ang pioneer. pero tama karin sa software problem din yan kasi now may mga alpine ako na gnawan ng cdr ayaw basahin yung cdr bad trip.
Dude to be safe if you are lookin for new head buy 1 with mp3 ready usually automatic nakakabasa ng cdr yun. since alpine ka try to look for alpine also para di masayang yung mga accessories mo pero pag palit ka lahat try pioneer  :) goodluck
SAYANG KONTE LANG MAGAGAGANDANG BRAND NA HEAD UNIT DITO. :)

Sayang sana maaga tayo nagkakilala di sana naubos pera nyo hehehe ;D

I did not say wrong, I really meant sensitive. I have a not so new CHA-624 changer and it does not play some specific media. I used the same software for burning as well as the same writer. It does play the CD, but then it produces some backgroud noise alien to the track as if the lens has a hard time reading the disc.

For lens being sensitive is good that it reads better thus transmitting better signal the source unit.

The 24-bit Alpine CD Shuttle is indeed better than any CD-R ready Pioneer CD shuttle you can think of (with the exception of the Premiere series).

So you mean sensitive kaya di mabasa?
Title: Re:cd r
Post by: Brent on April 03, 2003, 01:58:40 AM
Yes it is very sensitive to imperfections.

from what i know it has to do something with the speed..ive read a thread here before...but here's what other peeps said: if you record cd's at let's say...32x dapat yung player mo can also read at 32x...im guessing that's why pagtinry mo sa player ayaw gumana pero try mo sa computer, gagana..but its only a theory ha ::)
