what software are you using for ripping only ,

iam using audio catalyst before but when i switch to winxp the program didn't work na :)
what software can you guys suggest ty :)
I use a program called CDEx, it's a free program, relatively old, but works like a charm everytime :)
Hi Waz!
Try mo rin maghanap ng MusicMatch 5. Yun yung gamit ko now on Windows XP OS. :)
thanks kpy555 free software ba yon ? where did you get it? arte talga ng xp noh! >:(
benj cdex? downloadable ba? xp rin gamit mo now? ;)
Hi Waz!
Yung MusicMatch bili ka nalang ng pirated. Meron ako original, kasama doon sa Iomega Predator ko. Ok itong MM kasi puwede ka mag-record from other source (e.g. DVD tracks) into MP3 format.
Yung CDEx downloadable. Alam ko freeware yan. Ok siya to convert WAV files to MP3 and vice versa. I had that too pero MM na gamit ko now.
:)
try FreeRIP

I agree...the best so far ang exact audio copy....but can you use this program to burn multiple audio tracks from different cds or for cd to cd copy only?

It rips 1 cd at a time... what you can do it put the extracts in 1 directory and later burn them to 1 cd using nero or other burning s/w
i use MusicMatch 8.0 :)

try db poweramp :) you can find it at download.com
ask ko lang why nung ininstall ko yung program (EAC) may ibang text nawawala and how long does it take you to rip a track ? kasi parang ang tagal nung akin eh :) thanks
in my case, it takes around 5-10 mins to rip a single cd.

paul but yung aking wala pang shortcut sa programs? ni extract nyo ba muna yung file bago nyo inistall? kasi db naka zip yung file? :)
yung musicmatch jukebox is pretty ok din. Easy to use din. Ginagamit ko as player too. ;D
guys help naman dun sa EAC na download ko na yung eac and yung lame tapos i extracted eac na tapos nung ni click ko na yung mp3 na button ng rip nga siya kaso after ripping yung duration ng mp3 is half the original duration ? bt ganun? 1 min somthing lang parati yung time pag play mo sa media player ???
hmm, never happened to me before.
why don't you try ripping to .wav first and see if its still playing only 1 min. of audio.
we want to know if the problem is with EAC or LAME.
if the ripped .wav file is "normal" then it means something's wrong with LAME, but if its also 1 min. only then its a configuration somewhere in EAC.
wav ok
im using EAC & LAME encoder din....
question ko lang is hindi ba nailalagay yung filename nya before ripping it? kasi nangyayari sa akin eh rip nya, lagyan nya ng filename na track01.mp3 tapos nire-rename ko na lang sya? hindi ko mailagay yung trackname nya before nya i-rip. pag nilagay ko, may message sya na "trackname will be ignored"...
thanks
:)
are you ripping an "orig" cd? i use the cddb function so that the album and track infos are automatically detected.
hi.. i use CDEX 1.3 and dbpoweramp converter.. they are good naman..
i use musicmatch 8.0. i convert audio tracks to mp3pro. this is a new format. 64kbps lang cd-quality na siya. only musicmatch and strangely nero burning rom can play this at cd-quality. play mp3pro in other players, it will be treated as 64kbps. musicmatch has its own burning tool or you can use nero.
can i used musicmatch ba to rip yun audio lang ng dvd concert?
may dvd kasi ako na gusto ko irip lang yun audio...
target output will be mp3 or wma so i can play it in my hu.
thanks po
U can use a combination of SmartRipper and DVD2AVI to separate the video and audio of your DVD.
@silverado
thanks po sa suggestions.
i also found this link:

try db poweramp :) you can find it at download.com
i also use db poweramp... good ripper plus it can rip your wma to mp3, but you have to install the codec for it. it is free www.dbpoweramp.com 8)
u can use mp3pro by pinnacle...u can choose kung wat type of mp3 u want saka pwede mong edit yung mga mp3 like putting some effects or fixing those irritating flicking things.
So which is the best ripping software? I'm quite particular with sound quality.
I'm going to use the tracks for my PC while working and burn some for the car just for the heck of it coz the head unit can play MP3.
EAC using LAME encoder... PM me if you need details ;D
guys how about from wma to mp3 what software do you use? thanks :)
i also use musicmatch to rip cds. pero winamp 5 also has ripping and burning capabilities na rin. pero up to 2x speed lang kapag free version, tapos yung full na you have to purchase, up to 48x
i'm just using yung save tracks sa nero burning rom...
i think ok naman sya eh... i've got plug-ins for different codecs.... most importantly, maganda jitter correction nya.
supported format with my plug-ins:
asf, wma, lame mp3, pac, ape, mpc, mpp, mp4, ogg, ofr, aac, rm, ra, shn, spx, vqf, wv, fla, flac
OT: cda to mp3 and vice versa ba yun EAC?
As of now, me using the latest version of Freerip, v2.
It now supports ABR (average bit rate) and VBR (variable bit rate).

Guys I just want to know, how can you rip cd that are Copy Controlled?
is there a ripping program that copies the titles of the songs (of course the source disc should have titles)? i use free rip kc and you still have to type the titles one by one before you rip it. or is there a setting in the program itself?
thanks!

Wala po atang program na ganun. Before ripping query first to the CD database para malagyan ng titles iyong mga tracks. Then start ripping. Iyon na rin ang filename nung mga magiging mp3.
I'm using Apple iTunes.
Regarding copying the titles, iTunes automatically gathers the title from its database, this also goes do the ripped MP3s, just don't put a pirated CD since the database only recognizes original and copied from original (no rearranging) CDs.
Its free from apple.com

if your using Macintosh i would suggest yung YAAC or yung NMP3 Ripper, i dunno if meron din nun para sa PC...try mo sa download.com, madami audio software dun.
Im having one huge problem with WMA/MP3s 2since I bought my HU.
Yung ibang CD kasi, copy protected, so Windows Media Player lang puwede mag-rip.
Sa WMP pa naman, mas OK ang WMA kesa MP3 kasi yung MP3s medyo bright at the same bitrates (I use 96kbps).
I had a CD burned dati. Yung guy nag burn ng CD also did something sa Nero, aside from burning para raw hindi tumalon yung cd while playing. What is this?
i use itunes :) it doesn't really matter what software you use, just use the proper settings ;)

try lowering the writing speed sa mga 52x na blank discs, example from 52x na writing speed gawin mo 24x or lower yung writing speed sa nero. medyo mabagal sya magburn pero mas precise naman ang pagkakaburn nya and totally skip free. unless yung music file na binuburn mo may skip na talaga di na macocorrect ng nero yon. i use 24x usually sa music cd's. for data much lower speeds
CDEx.... simple and easy to learn ....
Loyal CDEx user here since the dawn of CD Ripping ;D
dbPoweramp Music Converter and Imtoo.. :)

I used JetAudio with no problem whatsoever! ;D And i can even choose whether i copy on the original wave format, convert it directly to mp3, ogg, and other formats. And has also a converter, both video and audio. ;D.

DVD to ipod video - DVD decypter, Red Kawa video ipod converter
Jet Audio gamit ko...
try getting a newer version of your favorite audio file converter at CD-ROM Mania located @ Mayon Street, Quezon City near Philippine National Police Precint 1. Pero ako i usually download nalng than convert. Except nlang s mga old songs i just always keep several copies of them still in wave format para kpag bugbog n yung discs eh nakabackup s harddisk or duplicated cds or dvds ko.
