Car Talk Board / Re: BMW vs Mercedes-Benz
« Last post by remberto on August 09, 2018, 12:14:14 PM »
I had both brands and I noticed BMW are more fun to drive probably the reason why you see more bad drivers in BMW. Now I noticed the new Audi drivers are worst.
Maintenance is another story though, BMW parts are not readily available all the time compared to mercedes which has more grey market parts suppliers.
Another thing is indi german car (mercedes)  mechanics will not fix BMW while BMW mechanics will fix mercedes - a big disadvantage!
Car Talk Board / Re: bakit mahal ang NSX?

My NSX story!!!
I don't know what mahal to you is but I believe it is relative lol!!!
NSX is a good car and a lot easier and cheaper to maintain than a Ferrari but then it is a Honda.
When I was young many moons ago my neighbor and friend bought a new red NSX.
A couple of years later I bought a used Testa -silver.
When we go on a Friday and Saturday night drive on the boulevard girls would hail me 3 time more than him.
He said the only reason why they hailed him is because they thought he was driving a Ferrari.
A year later he bought a 911, only then he competes.

Need help from LC owners:
I have a 2003 LC 100 imported and Japanese model
I am very impressed with the quality of the conversion
Problem is the dash screen is in Japanese
Do they sell an English screen in the Philippine and who can do this job of replacing it?

Thank you

Any of the all terrain tires should  handle most of your offroading adventures. BFG has  good AT tires.  I used them in the sand and mud in Baja. If you have the money Dick Cepek or for budget try Cooper.
There are good tire shops in QC assuming Trinidad is in the Philippines lol!!!!

Need advise from Mercedes enthusiast:
I am seriously planing to buy a USED:  E Mercedes
I need some input on Philippine model E mercedes 212 body between 2003-2006 (Please be under Php 1M)
1) Best year to buy with minimum issues
2) Best engine size - gas consumption is not an issue
3) Max mileage to consider on a used mercedes in the Philippines
4) Things to watch for when buying a used mercedes in the Philippines
I will not be using this as a daily driving car

Need Help Please!!!!!

Earlier I had my car check, my concern was the rear shocks was too soft. the mechanic from SUZUKI said that it looks okay and it doesn't have a leak.. We test drive the car and according to him its still okay. But from the experience you would definitely feel that the shocks are really busted. To his defense he remove the shocks and showed to me that its okay. Imagine you can push the shock to its extent just using one hand that's how soft it is. "To make it simple they just don't want to replace it even if it's still under warranty". I tried calling different auto shops unfortunately they don't have aftermarket shocks that would fit. Please give me any suggestions that I might use as a replacement the thing is even the mechanics nor the sales agent doesn't know any alternatives for it like the one from vios or altis.  TIA!!!!
I think mazda 2 is a good choice considering you will be travelling long distances. In case of the rear passenger seat, The only way you can gauge is to visit your local dealer if the sit is comfortable enough :) Are you open to other car brands? I think VW santana is a good entry level considering its cheap price. As I saw one in the mall shows. although its stereo is pretty old school. but overall it has a solid build and comfortable enough for my height (I'm 5'8btw). I guess you cant have it all. honda city is also good.
