i understand that there's a vr4 version of the 8th gen with a twin turbo 6a13, where can i get the said turbos for my n/a 6a13? how much will it cost and what else should i replace to run twin snails?

my advise:

more pragmatic to get a 2.5L v6 dohc 280bhp 6a13tt rather than going turbo on your 2.5L v6 sohc 163bhp 6a13 n/a.

in the end, you'll have less or no headache and cost is maybe more or less the same.

most 6a13tt's are a/ts with tiptronic. what you could do is get an mitsu fto (v6 dohc 2.0L mivec - 6a12 mivec) m/t and bolt it on the 6a13tt or to your 6a13 n/a if you want an m/t 8g galant vr.

the fto m/t is fwd with lsd as compared to the 8g vr4 a/t or m/t which is awd.

the 8g vr4 6a13tt engine ballpark is at least php.280,000.00 - maybe does not include the awd system - just the engine and the awd tiptronic tranny.

its just a code given to the higher end galant models.
vr does not stand for any abbreviation.

i.e. 7th gen with the torquey 6a12 engines:

vx-r = v6 dohc mivec md n/a, fwd with 200hp

vr4 sedan =  v6 twin turbo dohc, awd, some models 4ws with 240hp

vr4 gt sports (wagon) = v6 twin turbo dohc, awd with 240hp

viento  =  v6 dohc n/a fwd with 150hp to 170hp depends on the variant

vr (phdm) = v6 dohc n/a fwd with 165hp

well for one thing, the vr6 (as in jetta vr6) is made by volkswagen and the latter is made by mitsubishi.... 8th gen galant with a gdi engine non-turbo, mostly sold in hong kong, singapore, japan, new zealand and europe.

common mistake people make is that the local (7th and 8th gen) vr is called the "vr6" and the super saloon is the "vr4".   - especially in the buy and sell sections of newpapers and magazines etc.

"for sale - 2003 galant vr4" -   imported siguro from japan or europe.  

anyways, maybe you meant the vr? = 2.5l v6 n/a engine sohc (one of the variants of the 6a13 engine series).

the galant vr-g normally has a 1.8l 4-banger engine.

i would take the 8th gen vr vs. the vr-g.

but still the best is the 8th gen vr4 (6a13 engine dohc v6 twin turbo and awd, ayc and 280hp).

mga tol hope you could help me with my VR4, I just got mine last 2 months... Got it from my brother... everything is still stock... i want some mods hope you guys could help me....

***K&n filter vs HKS wich is better ? do you guys have an idea how much would each cost ? if i change the stock filter to one of this, is there a difrence in HP ?

***san ok mag autodetail ng seats and carpet, kasi i want to remove the leather seats... pero medyo madumi yun upuan ... what could you suggest ?

*** yun sa back seat, meron ba nabibili sandalan na you could fold ng 60/40 ? kasi yun VR4 hindi naba-baba yun sandalan sa likod diba, I want to put subs, kaya lang the cushion is too thick baka hindi lumabas yun bayo so I was thinking if you guys happen to know if there is available na backseat which could be folded 60/40...
