Extreme Windshield Scratch Repair (HELP!!)

Hi, I'm a newbie in the car world, and I have just inherited my father's "Drive and park" Corolla AE101 Big Body.

I have always had problems with visibility with this car since the windshield has been mercilessly scratched throughout the years by the wipers. Whenever the wipers work, you could always hear a screeching sound from inside.

During the night, visibility is terrible in this car. To the point where I can only see street lights and their glow, rather than the road itself. Its very hazardous I know, so I decided to let the windshield be the first thing on my project list.

I don't know if Its time to have my windshield replaced, (which I know would be costly) or if there are other means to save my beloved windshield? Sayang naman, orig pa kase. Take not, the scratches on my windshield are incredibly disturbing. One time may motor na nag overtake, di ko napansin, nakita ko nalang when he was about 5 meters from my front. Delikado diba?

Try to have your windshield evaluated by a detailer if can still be restored.

In my opinion, you should have it change. Canvass mo na lang kung magkano, marami diyn Aguila glass to name one. Scratches mahrap tanggalin. Di kaya ng detailer-they only remove stains mostly. Sa Novus they will detail your glass for 3500. If deep scratch 1500 per line. (Sa me Petron-ortigas Novus doon ko na inquire).

kung 3500 ang pa detail tapos 1500 per scratch, it would be more practical to just replace the windshield.
Aguila glass windshield (laminated) usually is around 6500 for EG/EK civic, sa toyota baka mas mura. This includes removal and installation of the windshield, kasama na din ang urethane based sealant.

pag malambot pa yung windshield molding mo pwede ire-use pero pag malutong na kelanga na din papalitan.

a friend of mine had his windshield buffed due to scratches. Problema pag gabi at umulan parang nagka grado yung windshield nya.

aguila glass meron sa ugong,pasig.edi kapag no choice palit ka na lang ng bagong glass,para sa safety mo naman yun :thumbsup:

pacheck mo sa detailer. baka kaya pa ibuff. pag hindi, palit kana talaga. baka mas mahal pa bayaran mo sa aksidente.
