it's my first time to have my own car. a hyundai accent 2020 automatic (CVT).
I noticed that when my father is on the driver's seat, he steps on the gas pedal
while the gear stick is still on P (park).. parang gusto lang ata nya marinig ang
tunog ng makina kaya nya ginaganun at nakak bother lang talaga.. masisira po ba ang
matic na sasakyan pag ginaganun habang naka Park or Neutral ang kambio ?.
please enlighten me :( . thanks po :hat:

Normally, wala naman masisira, unless madalas ang apak-bitaw, and lalo if binababaran ang accelerator pag nagre-rev. In theory, naka-disengage ang transmission so the revving loads purely on the engine (I'm not a mechanic, but methinks ganito iyan, noh). a slight tap is okay, pero mas mainam na huwag nang gawin bilang wala siyang outright con nor benefit talaga.

also, is this done habang purely naka-park lang iyung sasakyan, or your dad shifts to P when, say, nakahinto sa stop light / while driving?
